COOKOUT for ALL Former WHS Students
An all-WHS cookout is being held August 16, 2003, at the residence of Ronnie Collins,
WHS '64.  Several former WHS classmates have helped Ronnie host this event over the last few years and it has been so successful, they have convinced (didn't take much arm twisting) Ronnie he should open his home to the masses again this summer.  If you've attended these picnics in the past, we sure hope to see you again.  If not, we hope you can join us this time.  It's a wonderful opportunity to visit with old friends and to meet other folks who attended WHS.

There is no charge for the event and anybody who attended WHS is invited.  Guests in the past have included folks from several of the other area high schools, a few grandchildren, an x-spouse or two, etc.

Ronnie lives on Route 52, on the left side of the road, about 1/4 mile from the WELC radio station heading towards Premier/Roderfield.  If you have any questions about how to get to his house, you can call Ronnie at home by dialing 304-436-4900 or 304-920-0129 (cell #).

There will be plenty of good eats (hamburgers, hotdogs, sodas, etc.)  on hand and Ronnie has just about every song ever recorded in the 50s, 60s & 70s copied to CDs for your listening pleasure.   There is a pool for those of you who would like to take a swim and a pond out back for any of you who would like to dip your feet into some icy cold mountain water or go fishing or catch crawdads, or just sit on the benches situated along the side of the hill and enjoy the quiet wonder of the lush mountain greenery.

It might be a good idea to bring a lawn chair or two with you.   And, for those of you so inclined, your contributions of side dishes and desserts will be greatly appreciated.

Pictures from previous cookouts can be seen HERE.
