Students who attended Welch High School during 1960-1969 will convene for their fourth reunion August 1-2, 2008. Click HERE to print a copy of the registration form Reunion activities planned thus far: Friday, August 1 at 6 PM - Meet at the Welch Sterling Drive In for an old fashioned sock hop with DJ music and dancing under the stars. (Even though the owners are trying to sell the Drive In, it is open and operating as usual.) Saturday, August 2 – Buffet Dinner/Dance at the Holiday Inn, Rt. 460, Bluefield, WV (304-325-6170) 1 PM - 4 PM: Sign in at Registration Table 4 PM - 6 PM: Class pictures will be taken if you are interested. 7 PM: Buffet Dinner. The dancing will begin immediately after dinner. A cash bar will be available. Dress attire is your choice; just don't show up wearing nothing but your birthday suit! A memory table will be set up at the Holiday Inn. Feel free to bring your own contribution(s) for display. PLEASE write, call, email, text message, or drive over, walk up on the porch, knock on the door, and visit your former classmates to let them know about this reunion.... and encourage them to attend. We're all getting way too old to pass up any and every chance to get together to hoot and holler, laugh so hard we wished we'd worn one of those Depends many of us now carry around "just in case," and maybe even shed a few tears, as we reminisce about our years On the Hill. |
